I live and work surrounded by the beauty of coastal Washington State and the small Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend. I wake to fog horns as the morning fog drifts in. Big low blasts from a container ship, mid-range bursts from the Port Townsend-Coupeville ferry and the lighthouse at Pt. Wilson. Sunshine burns off the fog, and low tide is a treat for seabirds and humans alike. There’s so much texture at low tide: barnacles and sea anemones, seaweed and water-channeled sand. I’m inspired as I texture the metal I use to create our jewelry.
